Visiting this website
This website does not set cookies for visitors, does not use analytics or advertising tools and does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third parties. Only people who log in to edit the website receive a session cookie, which is needed for the login and is deleted when they log out or close the browser.
When you open a page, the web server of our hosting provider processes technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server log files are kept for at most about two days and then deleted automatically. The hosting control panel also creates visit statistics from them (Awstats), which include IP addresses; we do not use them for marketing, and they are deleted automatically after at most three months.
Contact form and email
When you send us a message, we store your name, email address, message and the time it was sent, in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are deleted automatically after 180 days, unless we need them longer to handle your request or because of a legal obligation. We also receive each message by email; this copy is deleted from our mailbox within the same period.
Protection against abuse
When you send a form on this website (for example the contact form, an order or a login), we store a code calculated from your IP address (a keyed hash, not the address itself) together with the name of the form and the time, to limit repeated attempts. These records are deleted after 24 hours at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Private demos
When you start a demo, we store your email address to create your demo and send you its login (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you allow it, we may write to you about your demo and Webitu (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw this at any time by writing to us. Your demo itself, with everything you enter into it, is deleted automatically 60 minutes after your first login. The record of your sign-up is deleted after 180 days. If you never log in, the demo is deleted after 24 hours. Payments in a demo go to the test systems of Stripe and PayPal, so please enter only made-up details there. We also receive each sign-up by email and delete it from our mailbox within the same 180 days.
Processors and transfers outside the EU
This website is hosted by Namecheap, Inc., 4600 East Washington Street, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85034, USA, on servers in the Netherlands (EU), under Namecheap's terms of service and privacy policy. Namecheap stores and processes the technical data and content of the website for us.
As Namecheap is based in the United States, data such as server logs and messages may be accessed from there, for example for technical support. According to its privacy policy, Namecheap uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers (Art. 46 GDPR).
Automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). To use these rights, contact us using the details above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.
